Martinsicuro
A beautiful village by the Adriatic Sea
The Abruzzo coastline features seven locations known for the crystal clear sea and the remarkable care of the beaches, which over the years have obtained the prestigious "Blue Flag" award, including the seaside town of Martinsicuro, which is the first town you meet coming from the North.
This Abruzzese town lies in the Val Vibrata Valley, an area known in the past as the Valley of Eden, which still preserves evidence of the prehistoric era.
In the surroundings of Martinsicuro, we reach San Benedetto del Tronto, Monteprandone and the beautiful seaside suburb of Colonnella.
The climate of this area is the Mediterranean; the summer season is characterized by a pleasant breeze, and the winters are never too harsh.
Martinsicuro – thanks to the Adriatic Sea with its crystal clear turquoise waters, the sandy beaches and the beach clubs, able to offer comfort and leisure – is a place that sees tourism as the main business activity, while still paying attention to the environment, for its natural and historical beauty.
The lovely promenade is surrounded by palm trees and offers shops, bars and two beach areas of remarkable natural beauty. Other than enjoying the beach and practising water sports, you could visit the city centre, which will be just as enthusiastic as the seaside area.
A popular destination for tourists as well as for locals is the Water Park ‘Acquapark Onda Blu’ where every attraction is pure adrenaline for the entire family.
Lastly, for those who love to practice sports activities, they can cycle along the path called ‘the Adriatic Green Corridor’. It will soon connect the mouth of the River Po to Apulia for a total of 1,000 kilometres to be crossed by bike among beautiful views.
